I was raised in a small town in South East Queensland, where country life, community, and wide open spaces quietly shaped who I am.
I didn’t grow up in a horsey home. My journey with horses was self-taught and built slowly, through curiosity, instinct, and a lot of figuring things out as I went. It began when a family friend’s little grey mare, Neon, was put in my parents’ paddock to keep the grass down. From there, my love for horses took hold. I would ride Neon bareback into town, learning by feel and connection rather than formal lessons. Eventually, my grandfather bought me my first all-purpose saddle, a small moment that opened the door to something much bigger.
After I moved out of home, horses became a constant in my life, even as everything else shifted and changed around them.
Then came Ariat, my heart horse, who is still very much by my side today. It was with Ariat that I found barrel racing. We learned together, grew together, and figured it out side by side, building a partnership grounded in trust, patience, and persistence. Ariat has carried me through epic highs, steadied me through the lows, and been there through life’s biggest chapters, including becoming a mum and welcoming my two gorgeous kiddos.
When life isn’t lifin’, I still find myself in the saddle, chasing barrels and reconnecting with the place that feels most like home.
I’m deeply passionate about horses, fiercely loyal to my roots, and the first to shop local and support small Australian businesses. I know what it takes to build something from the ground up, because I’ve lived it.
Down Under Equine Hub was created from lived experience and a genuine love for the equine industry. It’s a space built to connect, support, and champion Australian equine businesses, helping them be seen and backed by the community they serve.
At my core, I’m driven by heart, horses, and a strong belief in lifting others as they grow.
I can’t wait to connect with you,
